PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet classifier for sand capable of efficiently recovering sand with a fine particle size and having a compact structure. SOLUTION: The wet classifier is equipped with a classifying pool 9 for sedimenting sand from raw water, the jet nozzles 16 arranged in the vicinity of the bottom surface of the pool to eject high speed water streams in the direction opposite to the flow of raw water, the projections 21 receiving the jet water streams ejected from the jet nozzles and arranged in the vicinity of the bottom surface of the pool, the barrier plate 30 arranged directly above the jet nozzles, bucket type scraping machines 1, 6 for scraping up sand transferred by the jet water streams and a vibration sieve 7 for dehydrating sand scraped up by the scraping machines 1, 6.
