PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems including difficulty in finding a temporary place of storage for a walking stick used by an elderly or handicapped person as an auxiliary in walking (difficulty in finding a place in which the walking stick can be leaned against something, and falling down of the walking stick leaned against something). SOLUTION: By making the ferule d a structure having a high specific gravity, or increasing the ground contact area, the center of gravity is lowered, and by providing a buffer c, shaking of the shaft is eliminated, and the stick stands by itself.
