PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new hypoglycemia agent reduced in adverse effects. SOLUTION: This hypoglycemia agent comprises a heteroaromatic ring condensed type morphinane derivative represented by the following compound or its pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salt. It has been found that the compound has actions of rapidly lowering the raised blood sugar value. Thereby, the compound is useful as an agent used as the hypoglycemic agent for treatment, or the like, of diabetes.
