PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform a roll paper-charging work with excellent operability in a front operation-type roll paper printer without widening a paper charging opening. SOLUTION: The roll paper-charging front opening 5 is formed on the front surface 3 of the roll paper printer 1, and blocked with a roll paper cover 6. An internal roll paper charging part 8 is halved, and when the roll paper cover 6 is opened forward, the front wall part 81a of the roll paper charging part 8 and a part of the bottom wall 81a thereof are also rotated forward. Accordingly, the substantial opening of the roll paper charging part 8 is extended, and the charging work of a recording paper roll 9 can be easily performed with good operability. The widening of the front opening 5 is not necessary.
