PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic shell mold having little dimensional change and sufficient strength to the high temperature through the whole working of various heating/cooling cycles, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The ceramic shell mold for casting, having a prescribed shape is composed of alternative repeated layers of a ceramic coating material and a ceramic stucco regulating the whole thickness of the shell mold, and a ceramic base reinforcing sheet disposed in a position at the intermediate thickness in the alternative repeated layers of the above coating material and the stucco. The ceramic base reinforcing sheet is composed of an integral monolithic body having holes of a pattern for improving the adhesiveness between the ceramic base reinforcing sheet and the adjacent layer in the alternative repeated layers of the ceramic coating layer. The ceramic base reinforcing sheet is used to structurally reinforce the shell mold by fitting to the shape of the shell mold.
