PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller conveyor equipped with an improved performance. SOLUTION: The roller conveyor is equipped with a plurality of rollers 3, 6, 13 held by a frame 2, wherein the rollers are allocated to several sections, and driving and braking roller 13 are allocated to different sections 4 and coupled with other roller 3 belonging to the same section. For the sake of structural simplification, the roller 13 is also held by an arbor 15 together with the drive roller 6, and the two are coupled together through electromechanical clutches 18' and 23' furnished partially with electromechanical braking devices 18 and 23.
