PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a hinokitiol-containing aqueous formulation which can reinforce the antimicrobial property of the hinokitiol, remarkably enhance the solubility of the hinokitiol in water, increase the amount of the hinokitiol formulated into the aqueous formulation, and automatically avoid troubles such as the deterioration of water resistance in a use in which the water in the formulation is finally evaporated. SOLUTION: This hinokitiol-containing aqyeous formulation containing the hinokitiol and an amine compound is characterized in that the concentration of the hinokitiol in the formulation is higher than the solubility of the hinokitiol in water and in that the concentration of the water in the formulation is >=30 wt.%.
