The present invention discloses a novel polypeptide - human prostate-specific membrane antibody protein 12 and a polynucleotide encoding the same, as well as a method of producing the polypeptide by DNA recombinant technique. The present invention also discloses methods of using the polypeptide in treatment of various diseases such as carcinoma of prostate, benign tumor of prostate, other tumors, disease involved metabolic defect of folic acid, neuropsychosis, inflammation, immunological disease, blood disease, developmental disturbance, HIV infection and so on. The present invention also discloses an antagonist against the polypeptide and the therapeutic use of the same. Also disclosed is the use of such novel polynucleotide encoding human prostate-specific membrane antibody protein 12. |
