PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address management device and an address management server which are suitable for smooth and efficient netsurfing. SOLUTION: A proxy server PS obtains state information on an HP specified by an URL, included in an access request from a client C at the request by accessing the specific HP and distributes the obtained state information to all clients C connected to a proxy server PS. When the URL regarding the state information received from the proxy server PS is already registered in a URL registration table 110, a client C updates the state information corresponding to the URL in the URL registration table 110, according to the state information received from the proxy server PS and displays a message, showing that the HP has been update, when the update time corresponding to the URL in the URL registration data table 110 is newer than the access time in terms of time.
