PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device which, even when some of discharge lamps are not mounted, makes the light output of the rest of discharge lamps nearly equal with the light output of the discharge lamps mounted on another devices. SOLUTION: A frequency limiter circuit 21 generates a constant voltage when the voltage of control signal from an error amplifier 9 exceeds the Zener voltage, and the constant voltage is set at an inverter driving circuit 3 as a control signal.
