PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture of a thin and small size, and with an irradiation surface of uniform brightness. SOLUTION: This lighting fixture is comprised of an EL element 1 of a flexible thin plate shape and emitting light from at least one surface, and electric power source part 2 supplying electric power to the EL element 1 and making it emit light. A florescent body of a high luminance is used in a luminous layer of the EL element 1 and emits light at luminance of at least 100 cd/m2.
