PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device which prevents in advance damaging due to an output short-circuit fault of the motor. SOLUTION: The motor control device controls the operation of a motor 56(57), constituted of a stator 72 having a stator winding 71 and a rotor 71. In a status that the motor is in a stop, a prescribed pulse voltages are applied to the output terminals 76-78 of each phase of the stator winding. If a current exceeding a reference value flows between the output terminals, it is judged as a short-circuit fault at the motor output. |
