<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for packet switching capable of controlling traffic. SOLUTION: In this device, a switch network connecting with a multistage of unit switches and plural interface 20 transferring packets from input ports to the switch network 10 are equipped, each interface inputs the number of packets transmitted in a specified period for a certain output into the switch network, the unit switch of the first stage adds the packet number from the part of the interface so as to output to the unit switch of the next stage, the unit switch of the next stage adds the subtotals of number of the packets from the unit switch of the former stage so as to output to the later stage, by the repetition of those processes, the sum of the number of the packets transmitted from each interface is calculated. The sum of the number of the packets transferred from unit switches of each final stage to each interface. Each interface calculates the sum of the number of the packets for each output port so that controlling of traffic can be available.</p> |
