PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-functional peripheral device which outputs reception data to an output destination device designated by an operator, in the case that this data cannot be printed. SOLUTION: When data, received by an MFD cannot be printed and is stored as vicarious reception data, a message 6a1 of 'the presence of vicarious reception data ' and a button 6a2 of 'vicarious data output' are displayed, and an output destination device designation image 6b is displayed on an LCD 6 instead of an output processing image 6a when the button 6a2 is operated. A PC 50 is designated as the output destination device of vicarious reception data, when a button 6b1 of 'PC' in the output destination device designation image 6b is operation by an operator. Another facsimile equipment is designated as the output destination device, when a 'FAX' button 6b2 in the image 6b is operated, and a smart medium 31 is designated as the output destination device, when a button 6b3 of 'smart medium' in the output destination device designation image 6b is operated.
