PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom of design by making units extendable at the both right and left sides of a control unit in a programmable controller capable of extending the units. SOLUTION: A first connector as a first bus line is arranged at one side, and a first extended unit is connected through the connector along a prescribed direction to one side so that the first extended unit can be extended to one side. Also, a second connector as a second bus line is arranged at the other side, and a second extended unit is extended through the connector along a prescribed direction to the other side.
