PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a pen-type handy terminal has to be perpendicularly set when the terminal is inserted into communications equipment and that an operator is bothered to keep the insertion angle, thus degrading work efficiency. SOLUTION: The pen type handy terminal has an optical communications section and the portable data transmitter transmits data stored in the handy terminal to a host computer through a portable telephone. The transmitter is driven by a power supply battery and has a loading section to which a data communication section and the handy terminal can be installed, another loading section to which the portable telephone can be installed, and an optical communications section which can communicate with the handy terminal having the optical communications section. The upper part of the loading section for installing the handy terminal is formed in a polygonal shape. |
