PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clock that can considerably enhance the service life of its battery by reducing the current consumption at infrared ray communication. SOLUTION: The electronic clock is characterized by the configuration consisting of a baud rate generator that decides a data transfer rate, a timing controller that takes data transmission reception timing, a transmission data buffer that stores transmission data, a reception data buffer that stores received data, an infrared ray modulation circuit to drive an infrared ray, an infrared ray receiving element to receive the infrared ray, a reception inversion control circuit that controls inversion of received data, a transmission inversion control circuit that controls inversion of transmission data, and a central processing unit that interprets and processes an inversion bit to denote data inversion and the data. |
