PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting diode array for a printer with excellent light emission efficiency and light convergence for enabling the miniaturization of a light emission part, high-definition printing without printing irregularities and cost reduction. SOLUTION: Plural light emitting diodes 1 are provided with a substrate 11 where a first electrode 3a is formed, a light emitting layer 13 for emitting light by the injection of a current, a current constriction layer 15 for preventing the passing of the current composed of an opaque semiconductor and provided with an opening part 15a for transmitting the light emitted from the light emitting layer 13 to the outside on a part of it and a current injection layer 16 composed of a translucent semiconductor and formed so as to cover an area opposing the opening part 15a for directly injecting the current whose transmission is blocked at the current constriction layer 15 from the area opposing the opening part 15a to a lower layer in the order. They are respectively separated by a separation groove 2 formed at respective peripheries and further, a second electrode 3b electrically connected with the current injection layer 16 is formed somewhere other than the area opposing the opening part 15a. |
