The Internet service is identified from a name or sequence formed by key presses for each letter of a name or sequence. The user is then directed to the corresponding Internet address. Service determination is done by comparison on a server of the user input data with service references in one or more groups of a data dictionary. The following conditions can be taken into account to determine the choice and order of the referenced service dictionaries: (a) the order or organization of the list of names returned to the user; the Internet address corresponding to the service identified and eventual parameters transmitted to it; the geographical location of the user; language used; model and fabricator of terminal used, data language and standards compatible with the terminal, provider of Internet access; Internet portal at the time of the request.
