摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of substrates for dustproofing which allows assembling of a liquid crystal device by easily judging AR film forming surfaces which are antireflection films of the substrates for dustproofing arranged in contact with a liquid crystal cell in assembling of the liquid crystal display used for a projection type display device and exactly arranging the substrates for dustproofing. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device is arranged with a pair of the substrates for dustproofing so as to hold the liquid crystal cell in-between. The transparent AR film is formed on the one surface 102a of the transparent substrate 102 for dustproofing. Two grooves 60 and 61 are formed on the surface 102a. The grooves 60 and 61 are so formed that the straight intersection part of the two grooves 60 and 61 exists at a prescribed corner part 102e. As a result, the prescribed corner part 102e is judged by visually observing the arrangement of the grooves 60 and 61. The AR film may be easily decided to be formed at the surface 102 existing on the near side when the substrate 102 is so disposed that the prescribed corner part 102e exists on the lower right side.
