PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion membrane which is superior in a fluorescence conversion efficiency, and provide a drivable light emitting device with a low applied voltage, using such a color conversion membrane. SOLUTION: This is a light emitting device configured so that an organic light emitting element is installed which has a light transmitting substrate and a color conversion layer formed on it, and which has a color conversion membrane that contains orthometallated complex, a transparent electrode, an organic compound layer including organic light emitting layer, and a counter electrode.
