The handset mobility processing system has a central server (1) a mobility server and base units (2,3) with handsets (6). Each handset can be attached to either base following a master/slave protocol. A handset is detected and request registration on a base, request notification is sent back. The central server request position confirmation, and sends requests to the second base unit for re initialisation.
