<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit built-in type liquid crystal display device to allow a capacity coupled dot inversion drive system as well as capacity coupled column inversion drive system which are heretofore impossible with the conventional drive systems and a method for driving the same. SOLUTION: The device has a first drive circuit 20 for compensation voltage impression and a second drive circuit 21 for compensation voltage impression. At pixel electrodes 9 connected to the same scanning signal wiring 3, the first and second drive circuits 20 and 21 for compensation voltage impression are alternately connected to the pixel electrodes 9 across storage capacitors 8 by each of the adjacent display signal wiring 4. At the pixel electrodes 9 connected to the same display signal wiring 4, the first and second drive circuits 20 and 21 for compensation voltage impression are alternately connected to the pixel electrodes 9 across storage capacitors 8 by each of the adjacent display signal wiring 4.</p> |
