PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system that can select a bypass channel in a short time when detecting interruption of an optical transmission wireless channel so as to bring an inter-block between data transmission reception into a state not causing a hindrance practically. SOLUTION: When a reception level of an idle signal received via an optical transmission wireless channel interconnecting optical transmitter-receiver sets 11, 12 reaches a prescribed level or below, the optical communication system discriminates that the optical transmission wireless channel is interrupted and selects the bypass channel for a communication path according to the discrimination. Thus, the optical communication system can replace the optical transmission wireless channel with the bypass channel in a far shorter time than that of the case with employing a conventional routing protocol. |
