PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate network communication between a user machine and a remote server through a network, such as the Internet by using a local host. SOLUTION: A web browser 204 is included in a user machine 202 and provided with a hidden frame and/or a layer, where a page and/or an applet is stored. The hidden frame or layer includes even a plug-in 212, which is so programmed as to function as a web server on the user machine. The plug-in 212 issues a command for establishing a connection with the remote server 224 to the web browser 204. This actuates an applet 208, and the plug-in 212 releases a TCP/IP socket 220 to release so as to maintain the communication between the user machine 202 and a remote server 224.
