PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an illegally parked vehicle detection device capable of detecting an illegally parked vehicle concerned with an illegal parking prevention system at a low cost without depending on a place and a number plate and surely detecting illegal parking even when the number plate is illegally altered or the like. SOLUTION: The information of an on-vehicle IC tag 2 previously storing identification(ID) information inherent in a vehicle is read out by a question means 11. A 1st memory means M1 for storing the candidate information of illegal parking and a 2nd memory means M2 for storing the decision information of illegal parking are prepared. An illegal parking detection means 13 specifies an illegally parked vehicle by using input information inputted from the question means 11 and a position detection means 14 and the 1st memory means M1.
