PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a CP signal sent on the way of an initializing signal without misdetection and to demodulate a DMT-modulated signal with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A multiplier 14 multiplies current sampling data with sampling data of one preceding data unit, and an adder 16 integrates the products calculated by each sampling by tracing back one preceding data unit in the past. Then reference timing with respect to the CP signal is detected by using the sum.
