PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device equipped with a crankshaft directly coupling type dynamoelectric machine which enables the suppression of its dimensions and weight. SOLUTION: This vehicle drive device has a crankshaft 1, a flywheel 2 fixed to the rear end of the crankshaft 1, an input shaft 10 of a decelerator which is provided coaxially on the rear of the crankshaft 1 in the axial direction, a mechanical clutch 100 by which both the shafts 1 and 10 are coupled with each other, and a housing 16 which envelopes both the shafts 1 and 10 and the mechanical clutch 100. Further, a dynamoelectric machine 200 is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the housing 16 and outside a cylinder part which has a small diameter and is provided behind a disc plate part, i.e., the flywheel attaching part of the mechanical clutch 100 which has a large diameter. The rotor 6 of the dynamoelectric machine 200 is fixed to the flywheel 2 via a clutch cover 5. With this constitution, the compact vehicle drive device equipped with the crankshaft directly coupling type dynamoelectric machine can be obtained. |
