PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of preserving enough discharge area and a coating area for a phosphor along with improving its intensity. SOLUTION: A plasma display panel is composed in the following way: a front substrate 1 comprising an electrode for scanning 5 and a common electrode 6 and a back substrate 10 comprising an electrode for data 11 are sealed in the position that they are facing each other, and plural discharge cells 14 held in matrix-like within the sealed space are prepared. To eject the electrode for scanning 5 and the common electrode 6 arranged in the front substrate 1 within the discharge cell 14, an insulating protrusion portion 3 is arranged.
