PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the decoded waveform generated by decoding encoded digital data has distortion when the encoded digital data are stored in plural storage areas. SOLUTION: This data storage device is equipped with a control part which performs control for storing the encoded digital data of a final frame to be stored in a 1st storage area as encoded digital data of a starting frame of a 2nd storage area and the data reproducing device is equipped with a control part which performs control for reading the encoded digital data of a frame right after the starting frame stored in the 2nd storage area when the encoded digital data of the final frame stored in the 1st storage area and the encoded digital data of the starting frame stored in the 2nd storage area are the same.
