PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that emitted light is reflected by a wiring pattern formed between a plurality of island-like semiconductor layers, each light emission diameter of a semiconductor light emission device is widened, the resolution of an optical printer head is deteriorated, the peripheral edge part of the wiring pattern formed between the plurality of island-like semiconductor layers is formed in a rugged shape and reflected light itself is dispersed. SOLUTION: In this semiconductor light emission device for which the plurality of island-like semiconductor layers composed on a one conduction type semiconductor layer and an opposite conduction type semiconductor layer are provided in a columnar shape on a single crystal substrate, electrodes are connected and provided on the one conduction type semiconductor layer and the opposite conduction type semiconductor layer and the wiring pattern for connecting the electrodes with each other is provided between the plurality of island-like semiconductor layers, the surface part of the wiring pattern is roughened. |
