PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electromagnetic induction apparatus, which is can be decreased in thickness without increasing it in lateral size and lessened in cost by decreasing it in assembly man-hours and number of parts. SOLUTION: A winding is formed on a flat bobbin 1, whose axial dimension D1 is shorter than its radial dimension D2, legs 22 of a pair of T-shaped core pieces 20 and 20 are inserted into center holes 29 and 30 of the bobbin 1, and arms 21 and 21 of the core pieces 20 and 20 are extended in parallel in the radial direction of the winding, and confronting each other. The bobbin 1 is equipped with bobbin pieces 2 and 3 which are split in the axial direction, and the core pieces 20 and 20 are mounted on the corresponding bobbin pieces 2 and 3 by insert molding.
