SOLUTION: In the program information distribution system of program information of broadcasting service, a distribution terminal connected to each of a program provider side and receiving side through a bi-directional transmission network to distribute the program information is provided with a means for storing the program information received from the program provider side and the first identification information for identifying program information at the time of updating, a means for receiving the second identification information for identifying program related information stored by a receiver-side terminal, a means for comparing the second identification information with the first identification information, and a means for preparing update information for updating program information to be stored by the receiver-side terminal based on the result of comparing.
