PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with a developing device using liquid developer capable of stably performing high-quality printing by using the liquid developer having comparatively high viscosity. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a liquid developer metering roller 5, and a doctor blade 9 abutting on the roller 5. A liquid developer reservoir 3 is installed below the roller 5, and a pair of screw brush rollers 4 where bristles are implanted in a twisted blade state on the surface, and which is formed so that twisting directions are the same come close to each other in the reservoir 3, and its bristle edge is brought into contact with the surface of the roller 5. In such a state, a fixed amount of uniform developer is applied to a developer supporting body 8 by the roller 5 in a developer supporting body 1. Then, the supporting body 8 is brought into contact with the image supporting body 1 where an electrostatic latent image is formed, and a developed image is formed on the image supporting body 1.
