PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a non-contact meter reading device capable of enduring long-term use in the life of a battery and suited to non-contact meter reading at optional timing. SOLUTION: The non-contact meter reading device is provided with a power supply means 16 for intermittently supplying power in accordance with prescribed ON time and OFF time at the time of normal operation, and at the time of receiving an instruction, supplying power for fixed time, a receiving means 13 for receiving power supply from the means 16 and receiving a signal from the outside, a control means 15 for receiving power supply from the means 16, storing a previously applied inherent identification(ID) code and comparing an ID code received by the means 13 with the inherent ID code, and a transmitting means 14 for transmitting a signal on the basis of the control of the control means 15. When the received ID code coincides with the inherent ID code, the control means 15 instructs the means 16 to supply power for the fixed time and instructs transmission to the means 14. |
