<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline battery that is superior in both charging characteristics and the discharging characteristics. SOLUTION: The positive electrode comprises a porous nickel(Ni) sinter substrate filled with active material containing nickel hydride. The positive electrode is made to have the substrate and the whole electrode adhered with Y(yttrium) and/or an yttrium compound, and the concentration of alkaline electrolyte is made to have 0.1 or more and 1.0 or less of normal solution of Li(lithium) and 0.3-1.5 normal solution of Na (sodium).</p> |
