<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To view images relating to compressed image data recorded in a data recording medium almost without a time difference. SOLUTION: An MPEG stream is obtained by performing a data compression processing to recorded image data in an encoder 115 and the stream is temporarily stored in a buffer memory 106. Then, the MPEG stream is read from the buffer memory 106, supplied through a drive controller 108 to an HD drive 107 and recorded in a hard disk. At the time, simultaneously, the MPEG stream to be recorded in the hard disk as mentioned above is read from the buffer memory 106, a data expansion processing is performed in a decoder 116 and output video signals SV2 are generated. By displaying the images by the video signals SV2 on a monitor 117, a user views the images relating to the MPEG stream recorded in the hard disk almost without the time difference.</p> |
