PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of route switching between OSPF domains, that method has a high extensibility and a lightweight, and also coping with enlarging for network. SOLUTION: In the router, an OSPF means 7 of a route control program 5 sends and receives control packets towards an extra router 11 presenting in the OSPF domain controlled by the control program 5. As a result, the control packets obtain a route information in the appropriate OSPF domain so as to register in a route table 8. The registered route information is sent to other route control program 5 via NISP program 4. Then, the route information is stored in the route table 8 of other route control program, the route information of other OSPF domain can be sent by the OSPF means 7 to the extra router 11 of the OSPF domain, in which the information is included.
