PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable and non-return type thermo-protector that can break current to an electric equipment by detecting local calorification of the equipment with a high thermo-sensitive precision. SOLUTION: This is equipped with a thermosensitive element 1 whose resistance varies with temperatures, a switch circuit 2 that takes continuity action at a prescribed temperature based on resistance variations of the thermosensitive element, a heating element that is heated by flowing current due to continuity action of the switch circuit 2, and a cutting element 4 that is severed by calorification of the heating element 3. The switch circuit 2, heating element 3 and cutting element 4 are mounted on a common base board 9, and cutting temperature of the cutting element 4 is set higher than the prescribed temperature.
