PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a monolythic microwave integrated circuit(MMIC), capable of controlling characteristic impedance after circuit preparation in a high frequency circuit. SOLUTION: A fiber-containing liquid crystal 3 is placed on a transmission line 2, which is formed on an ordinary wafer 1 for MMIC, and covered with a metal cover 4. The metal cover 4 is connected to the ground 5, a control power source 6 is connected between the transmission line 2 and the metal cover 4 and by making a voltage thereof variable, the dielectric constant of the fiber-containing liquid crystal 3 is changed. |
