PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a video conference system that are excellent in the utility and miniaturization or the like while ensuring the substantial functions. SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided with an imaging means 1A that converts an optical image into an electric signal, imaging direction revision means 24, 30 that revise an imaging direction of the imaging means 1A, and detection means 12, 13 that detect a mount state of an optical lens 10 mounted on the imaging means 1A. The operating speed or operating angular range of the imaging direction revision means 24, 30 is revised with respect to the detection result of the detection means 12, 13. When the mount of the optical lens 10 is detected, the operating speed of the imaging direction revision means 24, 30 is set slow and the operating angular range is set narrower. |
