摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a much wider space between an image pickup lens and a solid-state image pickup device by reducing the thickness of an optical low- pass filter provided between the image pickup lens and the image pickup device by using a double refraction plate as cover glass for the image pickup device. SOLUTION: A planar solid-state imaging device 13 is embedded in the bottom surface of a recessed part 12 of a easing 11. A birefringent lithium niobate(LN) plate 15 is fitted into a step part 14 which is formed at the peripheral edge of the recessed part 12, and adhered by an adhesive agent. Nitrogen is sealed into the easing 11. On the surface of the LN plate 15 on the side of the solid-state imaging device 13, a crystal plate 16 is stuck while using ultraviolet setting resins. Infrared cut coating is applied to an outside surface 15s of the LN plate 15.</p>
