PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve, the accuracy of the mount position of each function component in a manual scanning type image input device to a body device can be enhanced, in the case that the manual scanning type image input device is mounted on the body device. SOLUTION: Respective function components, such as a contact image sensor 14, a roller mechanism 15, idle gears 41, 42, 43, 45, and a slit disk 45a are all positioned and fixed to a hand scanner frame 12, a positioning groove 12i used to attach/detach a hand scanner 10 to/from a hand scanner holder of a facsimile terminal 1 is respectively provided to a side wall of the hand scanner frame 12, and even if the hand scanner 10 is mounted on the facsimile terminal, the positioning precision of each function component to the facsimile terminal can be kept high.
