PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of power consumption increase in the conventional receiver of digital broadcasting since a transmission decoding part 4, a separation part 5 and a program selection controlling information decoding part 6 are kept activated while the receiver is waiting for automatic recording. SOLUTION: A program selection control signal and/or an automatic recording control signal are selected in a form where the program selection control signal and/or the automatic recording control signal can be taken out even when the program signal decoding part 12 of the receiver is not active.
