METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic tape or the like which has high adhesive strength between a support and a magnetic layer or the like formed on the support even when the support material comparatively high in stiffness is used, does not substantially generate dropout or the like and has high reliability as a medium for recording computer data. SOLUTION: The surface of the support consisting of aromatic polyamide or the like is subjected to corona discharge treatment and then to positively charged potential imparting treatment. A magnetic layer application liquid is applied to the surface of the support thus treated to form the magnetic layer having 1.0-3.0μm thickness. Otherwise, a nonmagnetic layer application liquid and the magnetic layer application liquid are successively applied to the support to form a nonmagnetic layer having 1.0-2.5μm thickness and the magnetic layer having 0.1-1.5μm thickness.
