PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program mode for extending the reaching distance of stroboscopic light. SOLUTION: A system control circuit 11 automatically controls exposure by adjusting the values of plural control parameters for controlling the stop value of an iris 2, the sensitivity of an image pickup element 3, an electronic shutter and a CDS/AGC circuit 4. In this case, the system control circuit 11 sets the values different from the values of the control parameters corresponding to the case of not making a stroboscope emit light as the values of the plural control parameters so as to extend the reaching distance of the stroboscopic light in the case of making the stroboscope emit the light. |
