PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a phase of a sampling clock signal used for analog/digital conversion on the basis of an offset level of a burst signal and burst data at a phase point of 0-degree. SOLUTION: In the digital color video signal processing unit of this invention provided with an analog/digital conversion section 1 that samples an analog color video signal with a clock signal having a frequency being a multiple of 4 of a burst frequency and with a VCO 2 that generates the clock signal, a burst data extract section 3 uses the clock signal to extract color burst data respectively corresponding to phase points of 0-degree, 90-degrees, 180-degrees and 270-degrees of a color burst signal on the basis of a digital color signal from the analog/digital conversion section 1. A phase control section 4 detects the offset level of the color burst signal on the basis of the extracted color burst data and controls the phase of an oscillated frequency signal from the VCO 2 so as to bring a difference between the detected offset level and the extracted color burst data corresponding to the phase point of O-degree to zero.
