PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonance waveguide capable of preventing damage to a block or clearance by suppressing abnormal discharge on the joint surface of blocks composed of dielectrics or inside the clearance between the blocks. SOLUTION: Concerning an electromagnetic wave resonator 10 provided with a waveguide 11 to be resonated by reflecting a microwave, which is propagated on a route filled by joining blocks 13 of plural dielectrics, on a terminal end face 12, when a guide wavelength is expressed asλg and an arbitrary natural number is expressed as N, a clearance 15 between the adjacent blocks 13 is formed at the position of an electric length equal to 2Nλg/4 from the terminal end face 12.
