PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the color slippage caused by a yellowed bonding agent and the exfoliation of the sheet structure caused by a hardened bonding agent and to aim at the cost reduction of the electrode as well as the reduction of using materials harmful to environmental pollution. SOLUTION: The noble-gas discharge lamp comprises a glass bulb 2 forming an aperture 5 including noble gas, a transparent sheet 7 rolled round the glass bulb surface, a pair of external electrodes 8a, 8b distanced with each other to such direction as following the circular direction of the airtight receptacle and attached to the inside surface of the rolled transparent sheet and a sheet structure 6 provided with a bonding layer 12 sticking the transparent sheet and external electrode to the outside surface of the airtight receptacle by applying the bonding agent on the inside surface of the transparent sheet excluding an aperture joint part 11 of the transparent sheet overlapping the outside surface of the aperture of the glass bulb.
