PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plural-core cable having improved terminal machining and handling performances for sufficient high-speed transmission. SOLUTION: The cable 1 (the plural-core cable) comprises cores 10, 20 having center conductors 11, 21 and insulators 12, 22 covering the respective peripheries of the center conductors 11, 21, a drain wire 4, and a shield conductor 5 covering the peripheries of the cores 10, 20 and the drain wire 4 in package. The cores 10, 20 are mutually differentiated in cable-sectional geometry on the shield conductor 5 by a cavity Sa caused by the existance of the drain wire 4 and have substantially the same effective dielectric constant or effective electrostatic capacity in the state of being covered with the shield conductor 5.
